A series of 60 well-curated, sequentially performed asanas to gain better control over posture, flexibility and breath.
Prana Vashya Primary Series comprises of 60 well-curated asanas, which are performed in a particular sequence and use Prana Vashya Vinyasa Krama in between specific asanas for movement continuity, and to ensure attention to breathing.
The Primary Series is open to practitioners of all levels. An experienced practitioner who is flexible and can get into the postures can join the Pranavashya Sequence to improve their alignment, mobility and breathing. A beginner with lesser flexibility and command over their body, who finds it hard to perform all the postures, can benefit from specific variations in alignment, which will help in developing flexibility and awareness of their physical capabilities within a short period of time.
Once the practitioner gains better control over posture, flexibility, and breath, they can progress to the Prana Vashya Secondary Series to ensure continuity and enhance knowledge of the practice.
Acharya Vinay Kumar does not discriminate between any style of Yoga practice. He appreciates the knowledge and approach of different styles of asana practice. He is of the firm belief that it is not the style but the dedication, approach, stimuli, and understanding between the practitioner and the teacher that bring about the best results.
Please note:
The practitioner should opt for a minimum of 4 weeks and a maximum of 4 months of practice at the shala. This is to ensure that all practitioners who intend to practice at the Prana Vashya Yoga Shala are given an equal opportunity. (Check course dates)
Practitioners who are opting for the Intensive course will be given the first priority to practice at the Shala. Those practitioners who would like to participate in any individual course shall wait for the Shala’s confirmation until not before three weeks from the commencement of the course.
