Teacher's Apprenticeship Course Flexibility and Strengthening

The course includes Flexibility and strengthening practice (duration:100 mins), Pranayama(60 mins) and Apprenticeship sessions(90 mins) on all working days

The Prana Vashya techniques for flexibility and strength are unique and universal. The Teacher's Apprenticeship Course in Flexibility and Strengthening ensures a deeper understanding of physical movements and the interconnectedness of the various muscles of the body.
Practitioners will learn techniques for integrating flexibility with the appropriate adaptations of alignment based on individual needs. They will also gain an understanding of the importance of anterior muscular control, which supports flexibility, strength, and endurance.
This course is highly recommended for practitioners who possess basic knowledge and experience in teaching Yoga. If a practitioner has only minimal teaching experience, it is recommended that they first undertake the Teacher's Apprenticeship Course (TAC) in the Prana Vashya Series before participating in this course.

Authorization Process
The total authorization period is a minimum of two years. The journey toward authorization follows these steps:
1. Eligibility
The practitioner must have:
Practiced Prana Vashya flexibility and strengthening course at Prana Vashya Yoga Shala for a minimum of three months over not less than two academic years, or
Obtained a recommendation letter from any teacher who is authorized by PV Yoga Shala in flexibility and strengthening after a minimum of six months of practice under their guidance.
The recommendation letter should highlight the practitioner's consistency, devotion, and dedication to the practice. However, the Shala reserves the right to accept or reject any application for participation in the Apprenticeship Course.
2. Apprenticeship Course
Applicants must submit their application along with the recommendation letter and participate in the course after receiving confirmation from the Shala.
An Apprenticeship Course Certificate will be awarded upon completion of the course. Practitioners who complete the course will gain a strong foundation that enables them to practice and teach with greater confidence and fewer mistakes, while also allowing time for reflection before progressing further in the authorization program.
3. Assistance Period
After applying the knowledge gained from the course through self-practice or teaching for a minimum of one year and a maximum of two years, practitioners must return to the Shala in Mysore to assist Vinayji in his regular classes for one month.
Subject to space availability, the assistance period may be completed during any working month of the academic year. Practitioners are requested to apply for this period at least three months before their intended arrival.
4. Examination and Authorization
Following the assistance period, practitioners may take both the theory and practical examinations within one year. Successful completion of both examinations is required before authorization can be granted.
The Shala reserves the right to grant or deny authorization to teach flexibility and strengthening course.
5. Continuing Development
Teaching and learning at Prana Vashya Yoga Shala are continuously evolving. The Shala believes that change is the only constant.
To remain updated with the latest developments and continue to be listed on the Prana Vashya website as an Authorized Yoga Teacher, authorized teachers are expected to visit the Shala and practice—and, if they wish, assist—at least once every two years.
6. Assessment Requirement
As part of the assessment process, practitioners must submit a video of themselves teaching a sequence as instructed by the Shala as a part of the assessment procedure.
